Own Publications and Readers:
- Publication about the legal regulations in the Republic of Uzbekistan for Health Management: by Irina Dudukina. The book consist of 417 pages and was published as Band 22 of the “Osnabrücker Studien” with ISBN: 3-925716-72-6. 115 copies were given to the TPMI.
- Reforms in Health Care in Uzbekistan: Problems and Tasks by M. Karieva, N. Makhmudova und S. Karamatova. Die Publikation consist of 126 pages and was published as Band 23 in the „Osnabrücker Studien“ with ISBN: 3-925716-74-2. 115 copies were given to the TPMI.
- Macroeconomics - Cases - Compiled by Professor Roland Scharff; Reader and practical working book for the Students in the Module Economics; 173 pages with spiral binding without ISBN. 90 copies were given to the TPMI.
- Publication fort he topic Controlling and Financing by Professor Zapp, Dr. Tuichiev und Dr. Abdurakhimov – will be published in Russian language approximately in April 2006 within the „Osnabrücker Studien”;
- Publication for Medical Ethics by Professor Zalpour and Igor Vikhrov MD is foreseen for May / June 2006 also to be published in the “Osnabrücker Studien”
- The book for Quantitative Methods by Professor Seelbach is also foreseen for May / Jun2 2006.
- The Publication to the Topics General Management and Supply Chain Management by Professor Braun von Reinersdorf , Professor Mühlbauer, Professor Shomansurova is also foreseen for May / June 2006
Due to the schedule in the project proposal a volume of 9 own publications was scheduled. 3 of those will be published in Russian language. The others will be published in English language. The books – except the readers – will be published with ISBN in the „Osnabrücker Studien“ The Editorial Board of the Osnabrücker Studien exists at present by the following members: Andrea Braun von Reinersdorff, Adolf Kruppa, Erhard Mielenhausen, Frank Neumann, Roland Scharff, Siegmar Streckel, Rolf Wortmann und Christoff Zalpour.
Advertising, Monitoring Activities
In order to disseminate the results and the information about the Master course over the boarders of Uzbekistan, there have been launched articles and advertisements in Newspapers and Magazines, which are read in the whole Central Asian Region. The response was quite positive so far. From Uzbekistan and the neighbour countries there have been received several request from possible future students.
The main information will be placed via this Homepage of the course. This site will be continuously up-dated and modified in addition to a Information campaign which will be launched in newspapers again up to the end of the project to give information about this homepage.
The Activities taken place in the project were evaluated in October 2005 by an external expert. Also since 2005 the Uzbek project office is doing internal evaluation of the teachers and the modules. The whole project team is open for constructive critical evaluation - as well as for a positive, too. During the project, different monitoring activities have been realised so far for a better guarantee that the project is going toward the fixed targets and that corrections can be made in time.
Project termination and Dissemination of the Results
Within the strategy for dissemination of the results, the following actions have been realised so far:
Multi-Media-Dissemination: As Dissemination Base of the Project Results, the MAHMIT Web Site is used, which is currently available in 2 languages (Russian, English, German). This Web-Site will be prepared in an final up-dated Version and given to the TPMI at the end of the project. Then the Web-Site can be placed on the own Server of the University and can be upgraded by local staff.
National Dissemination of MAHMIT. In Uzbekistan have been undertaken a range of activities fort he dissemination of the Project, e.g.:
- The so called “kick-off meeting” was hold already right to the official start of the project in Tashkent in the Europa House with guests from other institutions.
- The active participation and presentation of MAHMIT within opening ceremonies of other Tempus Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan
- The opening Ceremony of MAHMIT at which representatives of other Tempus projects, other Universities, national ministerial bodies and international institutions represented in Uzbekistan have been invited.
- Information material about MAHMIT has been placed at the Central Asian Tempus TACIS Conference and the Project co-ordinator was present as well.
- In every project year in Spring, an advertisement campaign has been placed in national newspapers for Marketing-, Advertising- and Dissemination purposes of the MAHMIT course.
- A round table meeting was hold with representatives of the Europa House, two Uzbek Ministries and the participating Partners to sort out existing misunderstanding and to get a better performance in the realisation of the project.
- The Uzbek teaching staff members participating at the project have published own Articles about the project in Newspapers and Magazines.
- In 2004, 2005 and 2006 an information day was announced at the TPMI Tashkent for potential applicants and interested persons.
- One Information Seminar was hold in Samarkand and one in Bukhara.
- Within national Seminars, conferences etc, the MAHMIT Course, the project and ist outcomes were presented, for instance at USAID presentation meetings.
- A co-operation test with one other Master course established at another Medical University in Uzbekistan was started.
Internationally, the following points can be mentioned within the dissemination of MAHMIT:
- 3 of the nine publications have been printed and 3 additional are under preparation. 5 of these publications will be printed with ISBN and will be international recognised. The Osnabrücker Studien is sending about 50 copies of the publications to an European Library Network. Some copies are sent to Uzbek institutions as well.
- Publication of Articles about MAHMIT in the „Bulletin fort he Educational Sector“ in Belarus in 2004;
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project in the annual conference of the NGO „Universities for Health“ in Germany in Spring 2004.
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project within a Workshops of an ALFA Project in November 2004 in Turin;
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project at University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, USA in January 2005;
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project in January 2005 within a Bologna Seminar at the Academy of Education in Almaty, Kazakhstan;
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project during a Visit at the medical Faculty of the University of Havana, Cuba in February 2005 within a meeting about the international comparability of Curricula
- Presentation of the “Student Handbook” that was developed for MAHMIT as Tool for the transparency of Master courses and as Base for the Quality Assurance and –control at the Wysza Skola Biznesu Bialystok, Poland
- Publication of an Article in the JOE-List (an Internet Platform for young Eastern Europe Experts) in Spring 2005
- Presentation of MAHMIT Project in the preparation of a Bologna Workshop with 4 Universities in Kyrgyzstan in October 2005
By the establishing and deepening of personal contacts between teaching staff from Europe and Uzbekistan a sustainable positive development is expected to achieve fort he Master course. The preparation and introduction of Diploma Supplements and Double Diploma negotiations with partners in Europe are seen as a further milestone for the sustainability of the MAHMIT course after the official end of the Tempus Project. The Project Outcome and Results will be furthermore disseminated at the final Project Presentation in June 2006 in Tashkent by inviting the Press and other Mass Media to the event.
